
About Me
My name is Megan Headley. I am currently attending West Virginia University as a Marketing major with a minor in Communication Studies. I will be graduating in December 2015. I'm currently seeking internship and employments opportunities in the Morgantown and surrounding areas in a marketing or business related field.
I have past work experience in multiple customer service arenas. My job duties have ranged from cleaning tables to answering phones to reconciling cash drawers. My most recent job as a customer service representative and account manager at Grainger Industrial Supply really allowed me to build customer relationships and learn to multi-task in a fast paced environment. During my time with Grainger, I was the main point of contact for some of their largest accounts in the Morgantown area, including WVU Facilities Management. I received all phone calls and e-mails directly, handled issues that arose, and processed purchase orders for said large accounts. Being that there were so many large accounts and their orders were typically quite extensive, I was forced to spend my day prioritizing and using time management skills effectively. I enjoyed my time with Grainger and know that my work there has better prepared me to be a leader in the business environment.
During my time at WVU, I've excelled in my coursework and enjoyed learning about the business world and marketing, in particular. I currently have a 3.8 Major GPA and a 3.5 cumulative GPA. My name has been listed on both the Dean's List and President's List each year I've been in attendance at the university. I've taken relevant and interesting courses such as Buyer Behavior, Price and Product Policies, Integrated Marketing Promotions, Social Media in Marketing, and Global Distributions, among others. I have no doubts that with my studies in Marketing and customer service experience, I would be a great asset to an organization in the near future.
